Welcome to prettyboy.

15 October: prettyboy restored

prettyboy is frozen. Do you know why?

Yes, I do. Because no matter how much I love them, no matter how much they torture me, no matter how much I might disagree with them, they live in my head. My head. Which means, though sometimes I can barely believe it myself, that they are creations of my mind. Which means when they are being difficult, it is I who am without creativity. It is I who doth suck the mighty big one, and it is I who is to blame for my utter lack of production.

I don't have any daydreams anymore. Well, I do, but with no story. No scenelets worth anything.

I've kind of tried to pin it on that I have no story to tell: they simply exist to me. And when I try to pick up on incidents, it's just that: a single isolated, interesting incident. And when I can think of a progression of events--or plot, rather--I can never actually write.

Not worth my salt, am I?

So I kind of feel bad when I criticise others' writings, now... I mean, if I contributed works which I felt presented my view of the characters to the general pool, I would have some emotional validation for expressing my feelings. I suppose not.

You know, this reminds me of that rant I was gonna write on Little!Squall.

Anyways...

I'm twentysix years of therapy, or serapy for short. I am a sad obsessive fanboy, and my drug of choice is Square's magnificent Final Fantasy VIII. What a lovely game to slash! They give you two easy pairings, Seifer/Squall or Zell/Squall, and the boys are nice enough to slash in other ways as well. Me? I'm a Seifer/Squall OTP girl myself. Maybe with a side of Zell every now and again, but it's not like saisuko.

So, what am I contributing with this site? A few fanfics, mainly, some by myself and some by my dearest friend. In addition, a somewhat unique (I hope) approach in ficcishness with the e-mail fic (found under Balamb ). I also have a page of links. Whoo, what excitement, eh?

Oh, and because I always wished people said what font they used, prettyboy's title graphic uses the font Allembert.
