How the Technology World is Now Going Green

The technology world has been recently making efforts to go green and help to save the environment. One way the technology world has achieved this is by creating eco-friendly cell phones. Manufactures started using recycled materials to craft their devices as early as 2010.

Motorola was the first to release a phone that was made with mostly recycled plastics. The model W233 (Renew) was released in 2010 and came with a body that was made with recycled plastic. The phone also included an energy efficient charger which helped to conserve power. The phone was given high reviews for reception, durability, and other functionality. You can find a quick rundown here

Samsung has been releasing most of the late environmentally friendly models. The Replenish was their very first eco-friendly Android smartphone. This device was also crafted with recycled plastics. The box for this phone was made from recycled cardboard and the ink on it is made of soy material. An optional solar panel rear cover can also be purchased for this unit. With the solar panels, customers can opt to let the battery get its charge from the power of the sun rather than plugging it up to an electrical socket.

Samgung has released three other eco-friendly phones as well, so it looks like technology is advancing toward preserving the environment.
