Newest Home Entertainment Tech: Smart TVs and 3D

We all watch television on a daily basis, and some of us have a television in almost every room of the house. Back in the 80′s the best t.v. set was known as a floor-model television, but in today’s technological world, it’s becoming all about Smart TV’s and 3D.

A smart TV is essentially a television, but due to the extra things you can do with it, labeling it a “smart” TV was the right choice. Imagine sitting around with your family watching a movie, and for some strange reason you decide to check out pictures of your Disney Land vacation. You simply access the pictures from your PC through the television. Or maybe you want to view that latest super popular youtube video. There’s no need to jump on your laptop, because thanks to your smart TV, you can bring up youtube at the touch of a button. As you can see a smart TV isn’t just a name that a marketing company thought sounded cool; it’s a real television that provides access to the web, apps and more.

Now 3D technology in televisions is another advance leap in entertainment. And yes it does require wearing 3D glasses in front of the television, but the glasses aren’t the awkward blue and red cheap things that we’ve been conditioned to wear in theaters. No, these glasses are real hardware that’s designed to deliver 3D in all its glory. 3D television viewing is definitely in its infant stage, but with satellite and cable television providers offering 3D channels, the popularity of 3D will continue to soar.
